Legal Fees For Sale And Purchase Of Property

Pursuant to the Solicitors’ Remuneration Order (Amendment) 2017, the scale of professional fees is as follows:

Sales & Transfer

Consideration or Adjudicated Value

For the first RM500,000

1.25% (subject to a minimum fee of RM500)

For the next RM7,000,000

1%

Where the consideration or adjudicated value is in excess of RM 7,500,000

Negotiable on the excess (but shall not exceed 1% of such excess)

Legal Fees For Loan Agreement

Charge, Debenture and other Security or Financing Documents

For each subsidiary instrument within the meaning of s.4(3) Stamp Act 1949

10% of scale fee (subject to a minimum fee of RM500 and a maximum fee of RM2,000)

Stamp Duty For Sale of Property

Pursuant to the Stamp Act 1949, the stamp duty calculation for sale of property is as follows:

Stamp Duty For Loan Agreement

The stamp duty on loan agreement for the purchase of property is 0.5% of the loan value.
